Straight Man and Coffee Guy by Willa Okati

These superheroes are not your average comic book men and women saving the world from evil…yea, a trite statement, at best. Still, Combustion Man, Ukele Man, John Q. Smith and Lady of the Lakes, just to name a few, do not draw images of bravery, complete with flowing capes and brightly colored suits.

Then there’s…Straight Man, often referred to as SM, registers guests into a hotel that fronts for Hero Star Porn Productions; where their clientele’s bedroom activities are video taped and sold as DVD’s, with permission, of course. In the hotel’s diner, Coffee Guy, aka CG, commands the cup of coffee, piping hot and always full. Both work the graveyard shift that at times leaves them bored - until now.

Scoping the man out for the last five hours, CG propositions SM to alleviate their boredom, and then follows up with a persuasive coffee-laced kiss to jump start his libido. Using a room without video capability, SM and CG put their heads together, literally. In those fifteen minutes, CG hands over his heart, while SM still believes he hasn’t one to give back.

Straight Man and Coffee Guy is an adorable, sexy short story with its colorful characters and delectable racy plot. With his superpower in attracting jokesters, SM is the perfect “straight man” to CG’s comedic sexual overtures and leering comments that makes for this story’s humor. Fans of Ms. Okati’s vast imagination will enjoy this amusing romp.
