Hawkins O’Brien has been haunted by the same dream for seven years. Every night he wakes in terror, torn between love and fear. But who is it he dreams of and why does he feel such powerful emption for her? Can his psychiatrist help him figure it out before it’s too late?
Shanna Mason is expected to marry Hawkins and has been trying to help him with his dreams, but when thoughts of an old lover refuse to subside, will she still be able to help Hawkins discover the reason for his dreams and assist him in standing up to his unloving, overbearing father?
The premise of the story was wonderful, but due to a somewhat poor delivery and errors in proofreading and editing made by the publisher, the story lacks sufficient punch to be truly memorable. Much of the dialogue was stilted and unrealistic and did a lot of “telling.” When once finally becoming entranced by the tale, mistakes in punctuation and grammar jolt one out of the story thus reiterating a poor delivery. With a better job done at editing and proofing, this could be a magnificent story. The publisher did not do it justice.
