Georges Belleveau is a vampire still growing accustomed to the ways of the modern world while trying to fight the evil that resides in him. He manages to survive in this world for many years without giving away the secret of what he really is. But when love finds him, can he keep that secret from her? Can she accept what he is?
Diane is a woman who has never quite found her place in this world—until she meets Georges. She knows there is something different about him, but he refuses to share his secrets with her.
This book is well-written, but one tends to get hung up on the tense and point of view it is written in. The first section seemingly doesn’t relate to the following three, which makes one wonder why it is there, or if one is supposed to learn something about Georges from reading it. Is there an underlying reason for it’s inclusion, or is it something the author simply wished to share and nothing more.
One will be drawn into reading the book by the grand slam it starts off with. The sex scenes are vividly written and one will feel themselves being drawn to the dueling personalities of Georges. Parts were unbelievable, and one will know exactly which of those this refers to when reading them. Overall, this was a decent read, though not a fast one, that will keep readers interested until the last paragraph.
