Dream of Me by Kate Steele

Adam and Jack, both writers, spend a lot of time together, reviewing each other’s written works, while brainstorming new ideas for future pieces. They also share dating exploits, which leaves Adam feeling miserable as his attraction for his friend grows, more so knowing that Jack is straight. However, every night Adam suffers a dream that awakens him with fear, acknowledging the one thing he cannot have - Jack. He never tells his friend about the dreams, but tonight, shoving pride aside, Adam phones him.

Within a half hour, Jack stands in Adam’s apartment, seeing his friend agitated and rumpled from lack of sleep. At first, Jack’s kiss is tender, exploring, and then it turns needy…he desires more.

Ms. Steele’s, Dream of Me is a sinfully arousing short story. From the first line, the charismatic characters draw the reader its smooth romantic plot. The sex is wanton, though incredibly romantic.
