1. Please read the rules before you post. It’s easy to become an Excerpt Expert and reach paying readers with your excerpt.
2. You will need the author’s name, author web site address (if you have one), the book title, the link to buy the book, the publisher’s name, the ISBN number (if you have one) and the excerpt (the easiest way is to paste it into our page) 
3. You must be Registered and Logged in. Click on the links to do either.
4. Navigate to the Site Admin page if not automatically sent there.

    5.  Once logged in, click on “Write.”

 

  

6.  Type “the title” by “the author” in the title box. Nothing more, nothing less (ex. Refugee by Lucynda Storey )

   

 

   7.  Copy and Paste the excerpt text into the Post window. (your editor may look slightly different)   

   8.  Fill in the Meta information. Tip: Be SURE the URL entries look like the ones below with the http:// in front.

  

   9.  You’re doing great, just a couple more steps to go. Check as many categories as make sense. Tip: Ignore any error messages you see when opening the Categories + sign.

 

 

 

 

 

 

   10.  Click Save. 

 

   That’s it, the quick and easy way to reach paying readers with your excerpt. You’re an excerpt EXPERT!. Within 24 hours your excerpt will be approved and posted at the Romantic Observer.

Tip: Click “Save and Continue Editing” in order to see changes in the preview.
